New bedding

I found an AMAZING print I'm in love with and have decided to make a new cover for my bed with it.
I made about 8 mock-ups and the winner was this one:

You can't really tell but it's just surrounded with a red border.
I was originally thinking of making it a duvet cover but am now thinking it should be a proper quilt.
Also nice was this mosaic design:

But how can you get such a cool pattern and then cut it up?
Any thoughts or ideas welcome.
